Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a qualified and professional individual who will perform a variety of routine tasks related to managing trust accounts in accordance with state laws and regulations. This is less of a true accounting role and more of an audit and compliance role.

Job Responsibilities:

Compliance and Processing

  • Responsibilities for the first review of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages submitted to third parties

  • Be able to take the lead on required filings by executing the established plan and adhering to the deadlines outlined on the compliance calendar

  • Preparation and review of audit packages

  • Responds to SOX and internal audit requests as needed

  • Draft responses to locations, regulatory agencies, and other third parties

  • Research complex issues and provide their resolutions

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Assists with special projects as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications

Educational/Experience/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or at least 4 years of financial reporting, accounting, or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Well organized and can prioritize high traffic emails and workload

  • 4 years of Financial reporting, accounting or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Ability to analyze and audit data and provide recommendations

  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines

  • Ability to prepare and present working papers and supporting documentation

  • Proficiency with PC software such as Excel, other Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively in both written and oral communications

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Occasional travel may be required
