SCI Shared Resources LLC Corporate - Project Analyst in Houston, Texas

Overview & Responsibilities

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Gathers and analyzes data to assist with process improvements and reporting. Supports and assists with the planning, management and administration of multiple projects including drafting work plans, drafting cost/benefit analysis, drafting timelines and completing deliverables required for successful and timely completion of projects. May be responsible for planning and managing a project through the entire life cycle, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality. Adheres to established project management standards. Handles project administrative functions e.g. scheduling meetings, compiling and distributing meeting notes.

Analyst (50%)

  • Reviews processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures

  • Gathers and analyzes data to draw conclusions and report statistics

  • Provides ad-hoc reports to various levels of management

  • Conducts full root cause analysis on issues and recommend potential process improvements

  • SQL Server Knowledge

Project Management (50%)

  • Assists in taking projects from original concept through final implementation.

  • Communicates both internally and externally regarding the status of any given project.

  • Understands the project scope in terms of mission, objectives, and requirements of multiple projects.

  • Maintains project schedule; escalates any conflicts or potential issues with the completion of dates and milestones. Monitors project’s risks.

  • Assists in the development of measurement processes/methods for assessing progress towards goals and project outcomes.

  • Establishes deadlines, assigns tasks, and monitors/summarizes progress of project.

  • Develops business insights based on analysis of results and communicates key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

  • Works with management to identify appropriate resources and people to complete assigned projects on time and within budget.

  • Appropriately escalates barriers, issues and risks to meeting timelines and deliverables.

  • Develops polished executive-level presentations; may be required to deliver the information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion.

  • Establishes and maintains ongoing partnership with various departments to facilitate data collection from applicable systems.

  • Manages the project status reporting according to prescribed timelines for a given project

  • Recommends and participates in the development of new functional processes based on previous resolution of issues

  • Proactively identifies departmental process or procedural obstacles and makes recommendations for resolution or revision

Requirements & Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient knowledge in SQL Server

  • Excellent communication, customer service and analytical skills

  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and be a creative problem solver

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet changing deadlines

  • Must be knowledgeable in all phases of project management life cycle

  • Ability to effectively deal with wide variety of competing demands

  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task over multiple projects and deliver in a fast-paced environment

WORK CONDITIONS

Work Environment

  • Work indoors during all seasons and weather conditions

  • Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling

Work Postures

  • Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 8 hours per day

  • Climbing stairs to access buildings.

Physical Demands

  • Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
