SCI Shared Resources LLC Corporate - Procurement Manager in Houston, Texas

Overview & Responsibilities

Manages the sourcing and purchasing of consumable indirect products and/or services (approximately $70 million annually). Removes cost from consumable goods while sourcing products/services that offer the best all-in value to the Company. Focuses the efforts of the department on ensuring our locations have the highest quality products/services at the most cost effective price. Manages and oversees the team that monitors and supports the on-going activities within the Supply Chain Indirect Supplies Group to ensure compliance with contracted terms and conditions as well as collaboration on specific projects as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Category Management

  • Strategic sourcing and purchasing

  • Indirect Product/Service Management to include Lawn & Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Pest Control, Security Services, and Machinery Repair and Maintenance

  • Indirect Product/Service Analysis

  • Team Management

Requirements & Qualifications


  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business Administration or a related discipline

  • MBA a plus


  • 7 years of professional purchasing or related management experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising or managing a staff

  • Effectively locate and source key materials suppliers, while analyzing the total cost associated with procuring an item or service

  • Incorporate contract management and administration when holding suppliers and customers accountable for meeting the work specified in a contract

  • Influence others; persuasively present thoughts and ideas; gain commitment and ensure support for proposed ideas

  • Change, elaborate, adapt, and improve own ideas or those of others

  • Proficient technical skills (PC, MS Office software, internet, Coupa, Oracle)
